Link your school account with the public library!

Get ebooks, audiobooks, read-alongs and more from our school catalog and the public library by downloading the Sora app!

  1. Download the Sora app

  2. Click on "I have a setup code" and enter NYCSCHOOLS and confirm by clicking the green button

  3. Sign in using your DOE user name and password.

  1. At the top right corner, click the 3 lines and click "add a public library." Search for Brooklyn Public Library and it will be added!

  2. Choose a book to enjoy on your device at home!!

Kids Discover magazine is providing DOE with free online access through the end of the school year. I've long been a fan of their content and engaging student format. The issues zoom in on different Social Studies and Science topics and work well in literacy classrooms too.
