First Grade

Parents and Guardians,

May is here and we are seeing so much growth in your child! Continue to make sure that your child is reading at home every day. This is the only way that will help your child build fluency in their reading. Remind them to use their tap out power to help them sound out CVC words. We are currently learning trick words: could, would, should, over, her, number, say, says, see, between and each. Putting these words on index cards will benefit your child in remembering these words. Doing a trick work memory game and trick word hunt will also help make learning these words fun! In math we will start learning how to count by 10’s up to the number 120.

If you need any support, please let me know so I can support you with resources and materials.
